As usual, we had a great time at the Book Club at Waterstones in Inverness this afternoon, when we were discussing Denise Mina's novel Garnethill. Everyone had their own views on the novel, and particular themes, characters, and passages which had 'leaped out' of the text as they read it. We all learned from one another about the novel, and about society as depicted in it. Thanks to Paul thanks for leading the discussion.
It was a very rewarding way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
The next Book Club will be on Sunday 5th November at Waterstone's Inverness at 1.30pm. We'll be reflecting on Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale. 25% of this book at Waterstones Inverness if you mention the Book Club.
Love the book, or dislike it intensely - your views are always welcome at the Club. Come along and share your thoughts on 5th November. All welcome!
